KID GALAHAD LAYS DOWN THE GAUNTLET TO SCOTT QUIGG

London (17 April) Kid Galahad is “ready and willing” to fight domestic rival Scott Quiggafter his next fight.

The undefeated newly crowned European super bantamweight champion, Galahad, next fights at Ponds Forge Arena, Sheffield, on May 10th, live on Channel 5 and is out to show he is ready to face and destroy the Mancunian world champion.

“Let’s face facts, I’m the upcoming star in the super bantamweight division,” Galahad said.

“I’m undefeated and I’m hungry for the big fights – I’ve held the WBC International belt, the British title and I’ve just won the European title and I’m about to add theCommonwealth to my collection.

“If Quigg comes through his fight on Saturday night, which he should, my promoter Mick Hennessy is going to make him and his management a substantial offer to defend his WBA title against me, in either July or September live on Channel 5.

“I’m ready and willing to fight and if Quigg really believes he can beat me, why not come and do it in front of the biggest audience possible on terrestrial TV.

“I hope he agrees to the fight and gives the fans exactly what they want, a mouthwatering world class domestic showdown.

“But, me personally, I believe that him and his trainer will want no part of it, as Quigg is probably still having nightmares from our last sparring session, as we both know what happened there!!!!”
