Craig Kennedy tunes up in Bristol on November 14 ahead of British title shot

Hennessy Sports Logo2LONDON (30 OCTOBER) Unbeaten cruiserweight contender Craig ‘The Kid’ Kennedy will box in an eight-rounder on November 14 at Bristol’s City Academy as part of the huge BANG BANG: Blackwell vs. Matthews undercard, Hennessy Sports and Sanigar Events are pleased to announce.

The fight, televised live on Spike, will act as a tune-up for the 30-year-old ahead of a shot at the British cruiserweight title early next year.

Kennedy is undefeated in twelve professional fights and is considered one of the brightest talents in Wales. The Cardiff man has climbed towards the top of the British cruiserweight rankings following two stoppage wins over Wadi Camacho as well as a points decision win over Courtney Fry last time out. Indeed, it was the Fry win, in a British title eliminator, which has now put Kennedy in line for a shot at the coveted Lonsdale belt.

First, though, he must protect his unblemished record on November 14 in Bristol on a Channel 5-televised card headlined by the fascinating British middleweight title fight between champion Nick ‘Bang Bang’ Blackwell and unbeaten challenger Elliott ‘The Knockout King’ Matthews.

*** Blackwell vs. Matthews will be televised live and exclusively on Channel 5 from 10pm, Saturday, November 14. Meanwhile, Hughie Lewis Fury, Craig Kennedy and a pick of the Bristol undercard will be televised earlier in the evening on Spike ***
